Welcome Message
Dear colleagues and friends,
It is a great privilege and honour to announce the 1st Endosurgical Course 2026, which will take place on 23–25 October 2026 at the “N. Louros” Conference Center, Hygeia Hospital, Athens, Greece.
This (new) educational annual course will be convened and directed by Dr Zacharias P. Tsiamoulos, Director of the INternational CRoma Endoscopic Microsurgery (IN CREM) Department at Hygeia Hospital, Greece, and is co-organised by HEAL Academy and ARSGE (Arab Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy).
Building on the established success of previous advanced endoscopy training programmes in UK for the past 9 years (with more than 500 delegates per year attending), the 1st Endosurgical Course will provide a high-level scientific and practical training forum for gastroenterologists, surgeons, advanced endoscopists, trainees, nurses, and healthcare professionals with a specialist interest in therapeutic endoscopy and endosurgical innovation.
This true multifaceted educational experience will open new avenues in Southern Europe and Middle East focusing on the management of complex gastrointestinal lesions and the latest developments in endosurgical and minimally invasive techniques. Course material entails an educational model targeting the “3rd space, HPB and Endobariatrics” fields combining interactive lectures, live endoscopy cases, and hands-on experience, with advanced procedures including EMR, ESD/S-ESD, SCOPE, POEM, G-POEM, Z-POEM, STER, and Endoscopic Bariatrics, with national and international renowned faculty insight from USA (Mayo-Arizona, Brigham Women’s Hospital/Massachussetts, Baylor College of Texas), JAPAN (National Cancer Centre Hospital/NCCH Tokyo), INDIA (AIG, Hyderabad), and EUROPE (Spain, Italy, France, ederland, UK).
We believe this unique hybrid (F2F and online) course will offer an exceptional platform for training and multidisciplinary discussions to engage directly with a highly focused clinical audience and advocate educational ethos and perpetuate the supreme training standards of the former KENT course for the next 15 years. During this high-profile educational event, the core curriculum will be aligned to international guidelines among leading specialists and decision-makers, while supporting innovation, and the advancement of patient care in advanced therapeutic endoscopy.
We look forward to welcoming you all to another exciting event in Athens!
Kind regards
Dr Zacharias P. Tsiamoulos MBBS, MD(Res), PhD, FGJES, FRCP
