Official language
The official language of the course is English.
Currency
Greece’s currency is the euro (€). All major credit cards are widely accepted in Greece, though some establishments do not accept American Express and Diners.
Banks
In Athens, banks are open Monday—Friday from 8 am to 2 pm, except on public holidays. (A few central branches have extended hours and some are open on Saturdays). Participants can find ATMs all around the city that can disperse cash from their accounts at home.
Weather
With over 300 days of sunshine a year, Athens is known for its mild climate and clear, blue skies.
Time
Athens is on Eastern European time, two hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time (EET, UTC+2), seven hours ahead of Eastern Standard Time, and one hour ahead of Central European Time.
Use of electronic devices
Electricity in Greece is supplied at 230 V / 50 Hz, and Type F plugs are used.To avoid any inconvenience or damage to electronic devices, participants are kindly advised to ensure they have the appropriate power adapters and/or voltage converters, if required. Alternatively, please verify that your device is compatible with the available power supply and socket type.

strikes, or other exceptional circumstances during their travel. Participants are kindly advised to ensure that they have appropriate travel and health insurance coverage.
